Are you looking for a place to stay in Banff? We’ve got you covered. We have had the privilege of visiting Banff several times during our travels. This has taught us much about Banff National Park’s best accommodations and surrounding areas.

We have visited Banff and Lake Louise during the winter, spring, summer, and fall and have tried many different accommodation options. There are many options for accommodation in Banff. From lodges to luxury hotels to Inns, there is something for everyone. We have had the pleasure of trying out many hotels in Banff.

The Best Hotels in Banff for First-Time Visitors

The sizeable hot pool modeled after the Cave & Basin Hot Pools sets Fox Hotel and suites apart from other Banff hotels. Canada’s first national park was Cave & Basin.

The perfect ski lodge setting was reflected in our two-bedroom suite. We ate at Chilis Restaurant in the lobby for roadhouse food. Sometimes a quick meal at the hotel restaurant can be a good option after a long day of adventure in Banff.

Elk & Avenue – Town of Banff

Mid-Range – Elk & Avenue: Elk & Avenue is centrally located if you want to be at the heart of all the action. Elk & Avenue is centrally located in Banff. It’s a great place to stroll around the city and get close to everything. It also has free parking to drive around Banff National Park or the Icelands Parkway.

The Banff Hotel is a basic hotel with very few amenities. There’s a hot tub in a concrete area that’s not inviting, but it’s excellent for its location.

Mid-Range Lake Louise Inn. Luxury accommodations don’t necessarily have to offer the best amenities. The Lake Louise Inn offers a beautiful stay, with an indoor pool and hot spa, as well as two restaurants on the premises. A lounge is available for pre-ski cocktails. A shuttle service is open to Lake Louise Ski Resort. There is also a ski storage area and a tune-up center.
