Cyprus is a very family-friendly destination, with its sandy beaches, calm shallow waters, and many playgrounds. There are also plenty of child-friendly restaurants. With over 70 Blue Flag beaches and some of the cleanest waters in Europe, it’s a safe place for children to enjoy a beach vacation.

It can be challenging to choose the perfect holiday destination for families with young children. It is important to find a place that offers a safe environment, good amenities, and a variety of kid-friendly resorts, services, and attractions. Ayia Napa is the ideal seaside resort for families. It has a beautiful climate all year round, an endless number of sandy beaches, and many toddler-friendly activities.

Three reasons to take your children on a summer vacation in Ayia Napa.

Beaches that are clean and safe

Ayia Naph alone has fourteen of Cyprus’ many Blue Flag Beaches, which are all consistently recognized for their cleanliness, high-quality water, and eco-initiatives. Blue Flag beaches have also been regularly patrolled and are staffed with a large number of lifeguards who are well-trained and equipped with first aid. The beaches are also characterized by calm, shallow water and a natural lack of waves.

Ayia Thekla is a great place to spend a day in the sun without any crowds. You can enjoy the golden sands and crystalline water. Sandy Bay, or Vathia Gonia, as it is also called, is an excellent beach for rock pools; the water provides brilliant visibility to see a variety of tropical marine life. Nissi Beach is the most popular in the area and with good reason. You’ll see locals and tourists alike relaxing under palm trees and swimming in a glistening sea. Nearby, there are many bars, cafés and restaurants.

It’s easy to eat out.

As in Cyprus as a whole, kids are welcomed by the locals. They will be pampered and spoiled, especially at cafes and restaurants. The menu is diverse, offering a wide range of options, including grilled meat and fish, jacket potatoes and fries, as well as salads, pittas, and more. Many restaurants will offer crayons and paper, while others have a play area or toy corner.

While the children enjoy their familiar favorites, you can treat yourself to some of the exotic dishes. Cypriot food is a mix of Middle Eastern and Asian flavors, as the country has a rich history of cultural influences.

Fresh seafood is delicious, but don’t forget to try souvla – a dish that combines barbecued meat with potatoes, salad, and other ingredients. Loukoumades are little doughnuts dripping in honey, cinnamon, and nuts.

There are many child-friendly attractions.

Waterworld is a theme park with Ancient Greek themes in Ayia Napa. It has different pools, slides, and sprinklers. There are many areas that even young children can enjoy. Aphrodite’s pools are perfect for babies, and toddlers can have a blast running through the sprinklers at Danaides Waterworks or the Atlantis Activity Pool.

Parko Paliatso Luna Park is an amusement park with a funfair-style atmosphere. It has a variety of activities that are suitable for children and adults. Enjoy an ice cream and spend a few hours here.

Cape Greco National Park is a beautiful place to walk along the coast, connecting Ayia Napa and Protaras. If you decide to visit Protaras, be sure to catch the live Magic Dancing Waters Show. This spectacular light show is performed in the early evening.

Explore the island

Rent a car from Ayia Nap to explore this paradise island. In all directions, you can find attractions. Limassol Zoo is a sanctuary of exotic animals and can be reached by driving southwest for an hour. The zoo also has a farm where you can pet animals, as well as a playground and cafe.

Explore ancient caves, historical monuments, and dolphin-watching boat tours on other parts of the island. There’s no way that you or your children will be bored in Cyprus, regardless of their age.
